The head massage
In a world where we are often in the head and disconnected from our body, head massage helps the reconnection between body and mind.
You are lying on a table, dressed, and the practitioner starts working on the shoulders and trapezius and gradually moves up to the neck and back of the head. Different therapeutic points are worked on certain meridians to bring back the energy in movement and release possible blockages. Then the work will be done on reflex zones of the face and ears.
The head massage I practice combines the work on the energy lines and the therapeutic points of Thai Yoga Massage with Chinese, Japanese and Korean techniques. The work on the facial areas is inspired from the facial reflexology.
Head massage seeks to induce deep relaxation and muscle relaxation. By working on the reflex zones of the face, the practitioner stimulates the energy circulation of the associated organs for a rebalancing and harmonizing effect.
